Our Why
Symglass was born out of necessity and vision—right in the heart of Nashville’s bustling bar scene. Our founder, a local bar owner tired of sweeping up shattered glass night after night, set out to solve a problem that plagued the entire hospitality industry: breakage. But solving for durability wasn’t enough. He also wanted to create a product that aligned with a growing need for sustainability—without compromising the experience of drinking from a beautiful, high-quality glass.
After years of research, testing, and late nights behind the bar, Symglass was created: unbreakable drinkware that looks and feels like luxury glass, but is made from a plant-based material that’s BPA and BPS free. What started as a simple idea to cut down on broken glass became a movement to elevate and create luxury products in restaurants, hotels, and homes—combining durability, safety, and sustainability into every pour.
